Blizcare, silicone gel for scars 15g., supports the treatment of scars after the wound has healed. This transparent, fast-drying preparation is an effective method of preventing scarring. Blizcare medical silicone plasters are a medical device intended to support the treatment of scars after the wound has healed. The plasters can be used for postoperative scars, post-burn scars, post-injury scars and other types of scars, for example, after the removal of a tattoo.

The product can be used on postoperative scars, post-burn scars, post-injury scars, and scars from stretch marks. This hypoallergenic, transparent, fast-drying preparation is an effective, modern and non-invasive method of preventing scarring.

How does BLIZCARE work?

The silicone gel forms a thin, breathable, impermeable membrane on the skin surface, thus maintaining the proper moisture of the skin, therefore preventing the formation of hypertrophic scars and keloids and alleviates the following symptoms associated with scarring:
Reduces scars and makes them more elastic
Makes scars less visible
Brings relief, relieves tension and itching

What is BLIZCARE used for?

Blizcare can be used on any scar regardless when it was caused and in what way. The gel is most preferably used up to two years after the wound closes. Blizcare supports normal scarring of keloids, hypertrophic scars, scars after plastic and surgical operations, burn scars, post-injury scars, scars after laser therapy, scars after cesarean cuts and scars from stretch marks. It can be used for adults and children regardless of age.

How to use BLIZCARE?

The gel is applied externally to the skin. It is advisable to wash and dry the application area before applying the gel. Spread the gel on the surface of the scar. In order to support the results, you can additionally perform a massage by rubbing the gel on the scar. Leave a thin layer of gel to dry. Excess gel can be removed with a tissue. It is recommended to use the gel twice a day. You can use cosmetics over the gel layer after it dries.

When should BLIZCARE gel not be used

The gel is for external use only. Blizcare gel cannot be used on wounded skin and open wounds. Do not use simultaneously with other preparations and medicines applied at the same place of application. In the case of symptoms of irritation or other disturbing changes, discontinue using the preparation. Do not use after the expiry date stated on the tube and packaging.

Possible side effects

The gel rarely causes side effects, although redness, soreness or irritation of the application site may occur. If any alarming symptoms occur, discontinue use and contact your doctor or pharmacist.

Storage of BLIZCARE gel

Store the Blizcare in the original packaging in a place that is out of sight and inaccessible to children and under 25 OC. Do not use Blizcare after the expiration date indicated on the tube and packaging. The expiration date is also the series number.

The plaster should be changed on average every 5 to 7 days, and when changing the plaster, care should be taken to ensure proper skin hygiene at the place of use. Blizcare medical silicone plasters for scars are flexible, durable and resilient due to their unique design. Repeated use should be avoided due to possible damage to the adhesive layer during its removal.

When not to use BLIZCARE gel

The plasters can only be applied externally to healed skin. The plasters cannot be applied to wounded skin and open wounds.
